Why are people turning their backs on the WWE?

I know the benoit thing was bad but it seems that the WWE is taking more of the blame than benoit himself. Benoit was the one who decided to kill his family not McMahon. Regardless if drugs are in wrestling, its the performer who should use his or her head. Is it the NFL's fault that Michael Vick is a dog murderer, or is their fault that OJ Simpson murdered his wife? No! So why is the WWE being blamed as if they are the ones who killed the benoit family.
