How alligators helpful to man?

Belts!!! lol jk, IDK about directly but Alligators being prime predators are Big for balanced ecosystems that we live in. directly though, I don't think they are "helpful" probably just the opposite. But hey, do you think that every animal on this planet is he to cater us?
